Defendant appeals from his conviction of armed robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797. He was sentenced to serve a prison term of from 40 to 60 years and appeals as of right.

Defendant’s conviction stems from the armed robbery of a bar which occurred March 6, 1981. The complainant testified, that just as she was ready to open the bar for business at 10 a.m. the defendant entered. The complainant was frightened by the look on his face, so she turned and walked rapidly away. The defendant came up behind her and placed what felt like a gun in her back and forced her to lie down at the end of the bar.…
