This suit was instituted by the State Highway Commission of Missouri on the 12th day of August, 1930, in the Circuit Court of St. Louis County, the general object and purpose of said suit being to condemn a strip of land varying in width from 115 to 145, feet and running diagonally through an eighty-acre tract of land owned by the three defendants, an undivided one-third being owned by each. Said eighty-acre tract is the East one-half of the Southwest quarter of Section 14, Township 44 North, Range 5 East in St, Louis County, Missouri.
