Mrs. Otis Wood, who, as appears from the evidence, was Mrs. Colline Wood, the wife of Otis Wood, brought suit for libel against the Constitution Publishing Company. It was alleged in the petition that the defendant, during the month of August, 1934, was engaged in the publication of a daily newspaper in the City of Atlanta, State of Georgia called the Atlanta Constitution, which during that period had a wide circulation, with a daily issue of a large number of papers, and on August 15, 1934, there were issued a large number of papers which were read by thousands of persons upon that day over…
