The defendant appeals from the judgment. The complaint sets forth a cause of action based on a written contract dated April 21, 1916, whereby the defendant engaged the plaintiff to render to it “such services as may be required of him” from April 21, 1916, to September 1, 1917. Plaintiff also agreed to give his exclusive, services to the defendant and that he would not “render services at any other place or to any other firm in the United States or Canada from the date of this contract until it is closed, except under the management” of the defendant.
