STRICKLAND, Judge:

Appellant was charged with eight specifications of rape, four specifications of carnal knowledge and one specification of indecent assault in violation of Articles 120 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. §§ 920 and 934, respectively. These offenses were alleged to have occurred over a period of time beginning in May 1983 and continuing through September 1985.
