Henry Yanda was a carpenter in the employ of the Bloomington, Decatur and Champaign Railroad Company, which operated an interurban railroad, and on July 9, 1914, he died instantly while working, in company with George E. Albeitz, on top of one of the company’s cars in the Decatur shops. The administratrix of his estate claimed compensation from the company, and being refused, a committee of arbitration was appointed.
