¶ 1. Arvid (“Al”) Backstrom appeals the Rankin County Circuit Court’s order granting summary judgment in favor of Briar Hill Baptist Church. Al asserts the following assignments of error: (1) the trial court erred in granting summary judgment on the issues of respondeat superior and vicarious liability; (2) the trial court erred in granting summary judgment on the issues of negligent hiring, retention, supervision, and negligence; and (3) the. trial court erred in granting summary judgment as a matter of public policy.
