Jackie Lynn Hubbard died when the automobile in which she was riding with her husband, defendant Steven Hubbard, collided with another operated by defendant Komar. Ms. Hubbard’s father was appointed administrator of her estate and brought this action under the wrongful death statute, 1 seeking recovery for the funeral and burial expenses for which the estate was liable, for the pain and suffering which preceded Ms. Hubbard’s death shortly after the accident and for the personal losses sustained by Ms. Hubbard’s five surviving siblings, her natural mother and himself.
