This is an information in the nature of a writ of quowarranto filed by the Attorney General, on the relation of John Walsh, commissioner of highways of the town of Johnston, to inquire by what authority the defendants are assuming to exercise certain powers and duties in connection with the building of a bridge in one of the public highways of said town, and the doing of certain other work on said highway.
