On April 15, 1936, one Joseph Bendix pleaded guilty to the felony of burglary in the third degree in the Court of General Sessions of the County of New York. On April 23, 1936, it appearing that the said defendant had been previously convicted three times of certain felonies, the Hon. Charles C. Nott, Jr., duly sentenced said defendant to be imprisoned in the State prison, at hard labor, for a term the minimum of which was to be not less than fifteen years and the maximum of which was to be for the term of his natural life.
