JOHNSON, Chief Justice.
Raymond L. Medford. was elected and served as tax collector for Red River county for the years 1927, 1928, 1929, and 1930. He retired at the expiration of the second term December 31, 1930, and on February 13, 1931, made his final settlement with the state and with Red River county. On December 31, 1932, suit was filed by Red River county in the District Court of Dallas county against Medford and the American Indemnity Company as surety on his official bonds, alleging that Medford had failed to account for all funds due the county which had come into his hands as tax…
