REQUESTED BY: Harry `Pete' Peterson, Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles 1. Does Section 60-305.09, or any other Nebraska statute, provide for the proportional registration of trailers or semi-trailers for Nebraska based apportioned carriers? If so, is the registration fee in lieu of motor vehicle taxes?
2. If such a provision does not exist, how would these trailer units be registered to properly operate on the public streets and highways?
