We granted certiorari to review an unpublished court of appeals' opinion in People v. Young, No. 96CA2249 (Colo.App. May 6, 1999), which interpreted our recent decision in Carrillo v. People, 974 P.2d 448 (Colo.1999). After a jury trial, Christopher Young was convicted of three counts of criminal attempt to commit reckless manslaughter, two counts of first degree assault, and one count of second degree assault.
