I. INTRODUCTION

In August or September of 1985, Andrew Gerakaris (“Gerakaris”) tape recorded certain telephone conversations between himself and another, one Alan Karaharis, and between himself and his father-in-law, the defendant Nicholas Mavroules (“Mavroules” or “the defendant”).
