This negligence action arising out of an automobile accident in Massachusetts was brought against two Rhode Island residents, the owner and the operator of the vehicle that collided with the plaintiff’s vehicle. The question on this appeal is whether the judge erred in denying the defendants’ motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction due to the failure of the plaintiff to comply with G. L. c. 90, § 3C, which is set forth in the *414margin.2 We conclude that the action should have been dismissed.
