This case comes before the Court on the trustee’s Objection to Claim of Exemption pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 522(b)(2)(A). 1 The debtors seek to claim as exempt $37,000 as proceeds from the sale of their Kansas homestead which they intend to reinvest in Colorado real estate. The trustee objects to the debtors’s claim of exemption on the grounds that Kansas does not recognize an extraterritorial homestead.
