MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
JUSTICE, District Judge.
The plaintiffs in this civil action allege racial discrimination in employment under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C.A. § 2000e et seq. (hereinafter “Title VII” or “the Act”). 1 Plaintiffs, who represent a designated class of black persons employed, or formerly employed, by defendant Lone Star Steel Company (hereinafter “the company” or “Lone Star”), are either members of, or are employed in the bargaining unit represented by, defendant Local 4134, United Steel Workers of America, AFL-CIO (hereinafter “the local union”).…
