Plaintiff Christina Conyers Williams brought the claims in this action against the District of Columbia and other associated defendants under the District of Columbia Whistleblower Act and prevailed before this Court and on appeal. 1 After trial, a jury awarded Williams $300,000- in compensatory damages, which were sustained by this Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
