¶ 1. Miguel Angel Santana-Lopez appeals from a judgment entered on a jury verdict convicting him of first-degree sexual assault of a child, see *334Wis. Stat. § 948.02(1).1 He claims that the trial court erroneously exercised its discretion in preventing him from testifying that he offered to take a DNA test. We agree and remand for further proceedings.
