This is an action brought by the plaintiff to recover damages for a trespass alleged to> have been committed by the defendant in cutting timber in Catskin Swamp. The liability of the defendant depends upon whether the boundaries described in the grants and mesne conveyances, under which it claims the disputed land, stop at the edge or margin of the swamp' or extend to its run.
