The Peoples Savings Bank of Albia, Iowa, ivas a banking institution organized under the laws of this state, and since March 22, 1935, has been in the hands of D. W. Bates, Superintendent of Banking of the State of Iowa, as official liquidator.

Among the assets of said bank that came into the hands of Bates Avas a promissory note of John W. Montgomery and his wife, Margaret Montgomery, in the amount of approximately $3,500, secured by a mortgage on certain real estate. Also a note signed by J. W.
