Dr. Charles Badger some time before his death sold and. conveyed the land in question to the defendant William Henry Rich, for the agreed price of $7,000, and took in payment therefor notes secured upon the land. After-wards, Dr. Badger transferred the notes to the defendant Milton College, a Wisconsin corporation.
