OPINION

CARROLL, Chief Justice.

Appellants Dr. Brent Dalrymple and his wife sued the University of Texas System and several University administrators in both their individual and official capacities in response to the University’s decision to discontinue Dalrymple’s status as a candidate for tenure. The trial court granted partial summary judgment in favor of the administrators with respect to the claims against them in their individual capacities.
