OPINION
OSBORN, Justice.
This is a slander case. The Appellee, a truck driver, filed suit against Appellant, a *336lease truck company, and obtained a jury verdict for $50,000.00 actual damages and $50,000.00 exemplary damages. We reverse and remand.
Jack Latham, age 51, has been a truck driver most of his adult life although he has worked at several other occupations. In 1976, he was working for Professional Drivers System, which assigned drivers to make hauls for various companies.
