In this workers’ compensation ease, the plaintiff was injured while splicing cable for the defendant subcontractor. The subcontractor did not have workers’ compensation insurance, and the plaintiff therefore filed suit against the intermediate subcontractor and cable company for benefits under Tennessee Code Annotated section 50-6-113.
