On November 9, 1914, plaintiff entered into a contract with the United States Government for the construction of the battleship Idaho for the sum of $7,250,000. The ship was to be completed and delivered on or before November 9, 1917, or thirty-six months after the date of the contract. It was actually completed and delivered on March 24, 1919.
