In an action for a divorce and ancillary relief, the defendant *569wife appeals from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Richmond County (Felig, J.), dated February 1, 1989, as granted the plaintiffs motion to strike her counterclaim, and discontinued the plaintiff husband’s action.

Ordered that the order is reversed insofar as appealed from, on the law and as a matter of discretion, with costs, the action is reinstated, and the husband’s time to serve an answer to the wife’s counterclaim is extended until 20 days after service upon him of a copy of this decision and order with notice of…
