MEMORANDUM OPINION

A. THOMAS SMALL, Bankruptcy Judge.

This adversary proceeding was brought by Ronald C. Summerlin objecting to the debtor’s discharge under 11 U.S.C. § 727(a)(4)(A). The debtor, Sylvia Bryan Outlaw, filed a counterclaim alleging that Mr. Summerlin violated the automatic stay of 11 U.S.C. § 362(a). Mrs. Outlaw also asked that the court award attorney’s fees to compensate her for having to defend the plaintiff’s complaint. The trial was held in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 30, 1986.
