CLARK, Justice.

hWe granted this writ application in order to determine whether the trial court erred in granting defendant’s motion to quash his indictment. For the reasons that follow, we reverse the ruling of the trial court.

FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

On June 1, 2009, officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at 300 N. 26th street in Baton Rouge. They found the victim, Ramon House, lying on the sidewalk, shot in the chest and ankle.
