(after stating the facts). The main error assigned is the action of the circuit court in refusing leave to Ritchie to file a pleading termed an amended answer and cross bill. It was a single pleading, in which no distinction was made between the answer and the cross bill. Such practice in the federal courts of equity is irregular, to say the least of it. Hubbard v.
