1Opinion of the Court
1. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is a department of State government, and the members of the board are public officers of the State. All property held by the Board of Regents for the use of any of the State educational institutions is the property of the State; and said property, when the Board of Regents shall determine that it can no longer be advantageously used in the University System, may be sold, leased, or otherwise disposed of by the Board of Regents, subject to the approval of the Governor.
