GALSTON, District Judge.

The petitioner seeks to limit its liability for damages sustained by the barges Win-stead and Vermillion, which, while on a voyage from Norfolk to Boston, laden with coal, and while passing between Montauk Point and Block Island, struck an obstruction and sank approximately four and a half miles east by north from Montauk Light.
