Randall Burtram appeals from the trial court's denial of his motion to withdraw his guilty plea following a conviction for rape in the first degree. Burtram was charged in a two-count indictment with rape by forcible compulsion (Count I) and rape of a child between the ages of 12 and 16 (Count II). After plea negotiations, Count II was dismissed and Burtram pleaded guilty to the offense charged in Count I.
