Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Montgomery County (Sise, J.), rendered October 11, 1996, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree.

Defendant was charged in a nine-count indictment with the commission of multiple felony crimes involving the sale and *579possession of controlled substances. He subsequently pleaded guilty to criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree in full satisfaction of the indictment and was sentenced to a prison term of seven years to life.
