Plaintiff, Joy Kennedy, appeals from the order of the circuit court of Macon County denying her motion for leave to file an amended complaint in a personal injury action. (111. Rev. Stat. 1991, ch. 110, par. 2 — 616(a).) We affirm.
On January 9, 1991, Kennedy was involved in an automobile accident with a car driven by Raymond Hess and owned by Angela King, Hess’ mother. On January 27, 1992, Kennedy filed this action against King. Hess was not named as a defendant.
