Ralph Thomas brought this § 1983 action against officials of the Omaha Correctional Center (“the OCC”) and the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services for alleged violations of his First and Fourteenth Amendment rights to the free exercise of religion and equal protection of the laws during his term of incarceration. In his complaint, Mr. Thomas alleges that officials at the OCC limited his right to exercise his religion freely in violation of the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment, when they refused to allow him daily access to the prison…
