MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
JOINER, District Judge.
On May 20, 1981, the court entered a brief order under 29 U.S.C. § 482(c) decreeing that the individuals elected as officers of defendant Local in an election supervised by the Secretary of Labor are the officers of the Local. This memorandum opinion sets forth the reasoning behind that ruling.
This case involves the question of what standards should be applied to a supervised election of union officers under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, 29 U.S.C. § 401, et seq. It involves the question of the proper balance to be struck…
