This bill is filed to foreclose a mortgage. The mortgagor, David K. Howell, resided in this State, and was the owner of two farms, one containing one hundred and five acres, called the Frelinghuysen farm, and one of one hundred and two acres, called the Hope farm. Ho gave a first mortgage on these farms to Albert Wells, who then resided in the county of Orange, in the State of New York, for $4,500. The mortgage was prepared and the execution of it witnessed by John E. Howell, who afterwards proved its execution before David F. Gedney, county judge of Orange county, New York. David…
