ORDER ON PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR JUDGMENT AND DEFENDANT’S CROSS MOTION FOR JUDGMENT
WOODCOCK, District Judge.
For nearly a decade, Monica Currier, who suffers from macular degeneration, has been asking Medicare to reimburse her for the purchase of a video magnifier (VM), a device prescribed by her physician that allows her to read. Concluding that the VM fits within the definition of durable medical equipment (DME) and that reimbursement is long overdue, the Court re verses the Medicare Appeals Council’s denial of reimbursement.
