This is a contest over the distribution of the sum of $1,750 now in the hands of the sheriff of Essex county. The defendant below, as judgment creditor of one John E. Anthes, Jr., and his wife, had caused execution to be issued and levy made on the fund. The complainants below were decreed to have a lien to the extent of $1,000 on the fund for services rendered as solicitors for the said John E.
