POSNER, Circuit Judge.

The petitioner, a Chinese citizen, is the mother of two children (both boys) born to her in the United States. She seeks asylum on the ground that she is likely to be forcibly sterilized if she returns to China. Like most seekers of asylum on that ground she is from Fujian Province and will be returned there if denied asylum. The immigration judge, seconded by the Board of Immigration Appeals, denied her application on the ground that she has no well-founded fear of sterilization.
