The romantic notion of having an island to one’s self has long captivated people’s imagination. Twelve years ago, the parties to this case contemplated the sale and purchase of a small island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The deal fell apart and took a decidedly unromantic turn — the parties have been litigating the aftermath ever since. We addressed the merits of the parties’ claims in a previous opinion, Addie v.
