On January 4, 1911, appellants filed their complaint in a justice of the peace court of Lake County to recover for services rendered appellee at his special instance and request in the construction of a certain building which work and labor is alleged to be reasonably worth $106. To this complaint appellee filed an answer in general denial and a plea of payment. He also filed a paragraph of counterclaim in which he alleged a breach of contract on the part of appellants and asked damages therefor.
