The plaintiff is a corporation under the laws of the State of North Carolina, having its principal office at Kannapolis in said State, engaged in the transportation of freight and property in North Carolina and other states, including the State of New Jersey. The defendant is a corporation under the laws of Virginia, domesticated in North Carolina by compliance with G.S., 55-118, engaged in transporting freight in Virginia and other states, including also New Jersey.
