This is an action for divorce, on tbe ground of adultery. Tbe principal facts are not in dispute, tbe controversy being as to tbe reasonable inference to be drawn from them.

Both plaintiff and defendant bad been married before, and eacb bad grown children. Tbe plaintiff, at tbe time of bis marriage to defendant, on May 8, 1922, bad for some years resided on a small tract of land, consisting of some fifteen acres, lying near Oskaloosa, and was employed as fireman of a stationary engine, working at night.
