SUMMERS, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal from a judgment in favor of the insured under a group insurance policy providing benefits for loss of a foot by severance at or above the ankle.

The insured, appellee Jerry Billings (Billings) brought this suit against appellant Pilot Life Insurance Company (Pilot) to recover accidental dismemberment benefits for loss of his right foot under Pilot’s group insurance policy with employees of the Kingsford Company (Kingsford) at its charcoal plant near Jacksonville, Texas.
