The Dardanelle Public School District and its officials, as individuals, appeal the judgment of the district court, 1 sitting without a jury, that the school district impermissibly failed to renew the contract of appellee, Nancy Cox, in retaliation for speech and conduct protected by the first amendment, in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (1982).
