The appellant in this case claims dower and homestead in the premises in controversy as the husband of the deceased Anna Maria Reuter, upon the alleged ground that she was the owner of said prémises when she died on February 3, 1897, by reason of having been in possession thereof for more than twenty years preceding her death.
