Factual Background

I. General Background

Shirley and Christopher are the parents of A.J., who was born in 2007. A.J. is a non-verbal child who was diagnosed in 2009 with a form of autism. Shirley and Christopher divorced that same year, on March 13, 2009. Am. Compl. ¶ 15. After their divorce, Shirley and Christopher were granted joint legal custody of A.J.; Shirley was granted primary physical custody of their daughter. Deposition of Shirley Justice ("S.
