This is an action for damages for personal injury wherein H. B. Chadwick, hereinafter referred to as plaintiff, recovered a verdict for $5,500 against the Southern Railway Company, hereinafter referred to as defendant, in the hustings court, part two, of *445the city of Richmond, and upon which verdict the court rendered judgment.
